College Events - COVID Guidelines

Keuka College’s COVID-19 guidelines for on-campus, non-College events (i.e., weddings, group meetings, etc.) generally align with the protocols for College-related activities. But there are a couple of exceptions. Please familiarize yourself with the policies below before attending an event on campus.

Facemasks on Campus

As of May 2, 2022, the College is no longer requiring facemasks to be worn by visitors, so long as they are fully vaccinated and boosted. Individuals who have received an approved medical or religious exemption, or who are not fully vaccinated, are expected to wear facemasks while indoors on campus.

The College also encourages anyone who feels more comfortable wearing a mask to continue to do so.

Social Distancing

The College currently does not require social distancing for guests who are fully vaccinated.

Advice for Visitors

Prior to arriving on campus and regardless of vaccination status, prospective visitors are advised to ask themselves whether they have experienced any of the following new or worsening symptoms:

  • Fever of 100.4F or higher or body chills
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Headache
  • Loss of taste or smell
  • Sore throat
  • Congestion or runny nose
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhea

If any of these symptoms have been experienced within the previous 48 hours, individuals should NOT visit campus and instead, have a COVID test administered and only come to campus if it is negative. Visitors who develop symptoms while on campus are advised to leave campus and contact their primary care physician. NOTE: The College’s Health and Counseling Center serves only the student population.

We reserve the right to change this policy at any point based on the public-health climate and guidance from state and/or federal health agencies.
