After a big weekend of North Eastern Athletic Conference victories, Wolves from the Women’s Volleyball team, the Women’s Soccer team, and the Men’s Soccer team were named Players of the Week by the conference.

Ericka Carlson (Westons Mills, N.Y.) was named NEAC Women’s Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week, Jessica Pegg (Penfield) was named NEAC Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, and Chris Millard (Churchville) was named NEAC Men’s Soccer Player of the Week.

Ericka was a defensive standout for the Wolves over the weekend as the Green and Gold won a pair of conference matches. She posted 22 digs in a four-set victory over Penn St.-Berks and followed that up with a 15-dig performance in a sweep of Penn College. Ericka leads the Wolves and ranks sixth in the conference with 3.86 digs-per-set. She ranks third in the NEAC with 172 digs in conference matches, as well.

Goalkeeper Jessica continued her strong play for the Women’s Soccer team. The sophomore made four saves, posting her seventh shutout of the season, as the Wolves defeated Penn St.-Abington 2-0 on Saturday. Jessica leads the conference with 12 wins this season and a 0.71 goals-against average. Her .831 save percentage is second-best in the league.

The most excited game of the weekend came from Men’s Soccer as the Wolves came from behind to defeat Penn St.-Abington. Keuka College trailed 2-0 on Saturday before Chris got the Wolves on the board in the 69th minute. He then added two more goals to complete the hat trick in less than nine minutes, leading the Wolves to a 3-2 victory. A senior, Chris was honored before the game as a part of the Senior Day ceremony. The captain jumped to the team lead with six goals and 12 points on the season.

Keuka College is in its final week of regular season play in the North Eastern Athletic Conference. The soccer teams are on the road, opening the final weekend at Penn St.-Berks on Friday afternoon.
