The national association that oversees social work education in the United States has reaffirmed Keuka College’s Master of Social Work program.

The Council on Social Work Education’s Commission on Accreditation – the last word on college-level social work programs – announced its approval in a July 11 letter to the College. The decision certifies the College’s master’s program through 2030.

“The CSWE Commission on Accreditation is responsible for ensuring programs offer students the highest quality education and the necessary environment and resources for students to be successful.,” said Keuka College Associate Professor of Social Work and Division Chair Dr. Jason McKinney. “I’m extremely proud of the work of our team, as this reaffirmation for another eight years is a reminder of the exceptional quality of our program and faculty. We have an outstanding faculty and I’m honored to be a part of the team.”

Keuka College’s MSW program is offered in both full- and part-time formats and includes 500 hours of clinical field residency. The degree opens the door to careers in mental health and substance abuse counseling, social work administration, youth and family social work, youth services advocacy, and a variety of other fields.
