Dr. Julie Burns

A member of the Keuka College faculty since 2008, Dr. Julie Burns brings over three decades of field experience, a deep commitment to advancing public policy and human rights, and a passion for teaching the next generation of social workers. She holds a B.S. from the University at Buffalo, an MSW from Nazareth College, and a Ph.D. from Union Institute & University. Her recent research includes an inquiry into how societal views shape parents’ perceptions of disability through interviews with mothers whose children have been diagnosed with Down syndrome.
